I’ve always been a creative soul. My dad worked in a paper mill, so growing up there was never a shortage of paper to scribble on. These days I work with vector graphics, creating all of my designs exclusively on my iPad – a far cry from the piles of paper, but still full of imagination.

Sarcastic Scots started as a way to share my love of Scotland’s language, humour, and everyday banter with the world. Although my Mum and Dad are no longer here, they’re a big part of why I love Scotland so much – Mum for all the family road trips exploring the country, and Dad for his old-school sayings and words (a few of which have made their way onto the T-Shirts you’ll find here). I think they’d be proud – or at least have a good laugh – knowing that folk are now wearing my designs.

One of my dreams is to take my parents’ ashes up to their favourite beach in the north of Scotland – not an easy task when I can’t drive and don’t have the best health! Sometimes I look at little cottages up there and imagine what life would be like if I moved there and lived out the rest of my days. 💙

Because of these real-life struggles, sarcasm and a bit of crabbitness have become a big part of how I get through each day. That’s why I love turning those feelings into designs that other people can relate to. Nothing makes me happier than bringing a smile (or smirk) to someone’s face – and I absolutely love it when people email me to share their own stories in return.
