FAQ

Quick answers to the usual questions — nae digging required.

Ordering

How does ordering work?

Most clothing is made to order. Once you place your order, it’s sent to my fulfilment partner, professionally printed or embroidered specially for you, then posted directly to you.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Please contact me as quickly as possible. If your order has already gone into production, I may not be able to change or cancel it.

Do you hold stock?

Most T-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts are made to order, so I don’t keep piles of stock sitting around. Some smaller items may be stocked separately.

Delivery

How long will my order take?

Most clothing takes around 3–7 working days to print or embroider, then usually 2–5 working days for delivery. Busy periods, courier delays, weather and stock availability can sometimes add extra time.

Is shipping free?

Yes — shipping is free on everything. No nasty surprises at checkout.

Why has my item shipped from abroad?

Some sizes, colours or products may ship from another fulfilment centre depending on stock. This is usually to get the item made and sent as quickly as possible, rather than waiting for stock to return in the UK.

Sizing

How do I choose the right size?

The best way is to measure a top you already own and compare it with the size chart. Lay it flat, measure armpit to armpit, then match that number to the Width.

Should I size up?

If you’re between sizes, prefer a looser fit, or want room for layering, size up — nae shame in that.

Where is the size guide?

You can view the full size guide here: Quality & Sizing Guide.

Returns

Can I return or exchange something?

Because most items are made to order, I can’t accept returns or exchanges if the wrong size, colour or item was chosen.

What if my order arrives faulty or incorrect?

Please contact me as soon as possible with photos of the issue, and I’ll help get it sorted.

What if it doesn’t fit?

Please check the size guide before ordering. Since items are made specially for you, I can’t offer size swaps unless there’s a fault or fulfilment mistake.

Products

What’s the difference between Standard and Premium T-shirts?

Premium T-shirts are softer and more retail-feeling. Standard T-shirts are a great everyday option at a lower price. Both are comfy — it just depends what feel you prefer.

Are your products printed in Scotland?

Designs are created by me in Scotland, but the clothing itself is professionally printed and embroidered to order by trusted fulfilment partners. Most UK clothing orders are printed or embroidered in England and shipped directly to customers from there. 💙

The blank T-shirts themselves are sourced by the garment manufacturers from countries such as Nicaragua, Mexico, Honduras and the USA before being printed.

Occasionally, some larger sizes, less common colours or certain products may be fulfilled from Latvia, the US or another fulfilment centre if UK stock isn’t available at the time. This helps me offer a wider range of sizes, colours and products without mass-producing stock or creating unnecessary waste.

Believe me — I did try to find a Scottish printer and supplier! 😅 Unfortunately I couldn’t find one that offered the quality, sizing range, colour options and print-on-demand setup I needed for a wee independent business like mine.

So while the items aren’t printed by me personally in Fife, Sarcastic Scots is still designed, run and cared for by me here in Scotland. Every order supports a real small Scottish business. 💙

How should I wash my clothing?

Wash inside out on a gentle/cool cycle. Avoid tumble drying where possible, and don’t iron directly over the print.

Still Need Help?

It’s just me here — no call centre, no soulless robot nonsense. 💙
